President Donald Trump, on Friday, announced a new peace deal between Persian Gulf Arab state Bahrain and Israel. The two states agree to establish normal diplomatic relations, direct flights and cooperative initiatives across multiple sectors.

The move follows the United Arab Emirates entering a similar deal last month, the first time in a quarter-century that an additional Arab state moved to recognize Israel.

Trump brokered both efforts, after, earlier this year, laying out a vision for a way forward in Middle East peace.
