craze.<\/p>\n\n<ul style=\"list-style: circle;\">\n<li><strong>On the day<\/strong> &#8212; The tech-heavy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/market-activity\/index\/comp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NASDAQ Composite<\/strong><\/a> climbed 0.2%, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EDJI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Dow<\/strong><\/a> dropped 0.9% and the benchmark<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EGSPC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P 500<\/a><\/strong> fell 0.3%.<\/li>\n<li>For <strong>September<\/strong> &#8212;\u00a0 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/market-activity\/index\/comp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NASDAQ<\/strong><\/a> rose 1.9%, the <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EDJI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Dow<\/strong><\/a> dropped 4.3% and the<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EGSPC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P 500<\/a><\/strong> fell 0.5%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Third Quarter<\/strong> &#8212;\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/market-activity\/index\/comp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NASDAQ<\/strong><\/a> rose 2.5%, the <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EDJI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Dow<\/strong><\/a> dropped 4.3% and the<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/%5EGSPC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P 500<\/a><\/strong> rose 2.0%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/investing\/bond\/tmubmusd10y\/charts?countrycode=bx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>10-year Treasury yield<\/strong><\/a>, benchmark for mortgage rates, corporate bond rates, and interest rates on various loans, rose another 5 basis points from late Tuesday, above 5.30% late-afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oil prices<\/strong> climbed, hanging upon events and perceptions relating to the Middle East. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmegroup.com\/markets\/energy\/crude-oil\/light-sweet-crude.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. benchmark <strong>West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude<\/strong><\/a> futures climbed 1.4% to $90.90 by late afternoon ET. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.com\/products\/219\/Brent-Crude-Futures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International benchmark <strong>Brent crude<\/strong> futures<\/a> rose 0.9% to $103.50 in a similar time frame.\u00a0 Meanwhile, President Donald Trump indicated that he did not intend to ease Iran sanctions.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div style=\"float: left; width: 45%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vzEDaysZtl0?si=dt9dH02T4Ska036Z\" width=\"100%\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div style=\"float: right; width: 45%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HSVnwW5hXKg?si=Z_5jDog-qgJevPKM\" width=\"100%\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Prior to trading, it was announced that August <strong>inflation<\/strong> was 3.4% year-over-year, below expectations of 3.7%, while third quarter <strong>U.S. GDP growth<\/strong> was revised to 2.2%, upward from 1.5%<\/p>\n<p>Ironically, would-be concerns about <strong>&#8220;AI&#8221; dangers<\/strong> perhaps serve as a pretext to amplify the notion that so-called &#8220;AI&#8221; actually exists. That is, it loudly implies that there, in fact, has been attained such a thing as so-called manmade &#8220;intelligence,&#8221; as opposed to simply a faster, more automated &#8212; often unpredictably defect-prone &#8212; set of programs that are a kind of helter-skelter type of search engine. The added component for the mirage, of course, is designing the programs to spew results layered with verbiage that attempts to imitates somewhat glib &#8212; often annoying, unrealistic and unprofessional &#8212; speech patterns, and trained to insert text for the pronouns &#8220;I&#8221; or &#8220;me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Reputed dangers seem to center around so-called &#8220;AI&#8217;s&#8221; automated functions, sometimes turning it into a kind of hacking malware that reconfigures its own parameters, or targets third parties for coding sabotage.\u00a0 Of course, any machine that is given diverse ranges of options,and allowed to keep running, or go in various directions, without being steered or controlled by humans is bound to wreck havoc in time.\u00a0 For example, a self-propelled lawn mower that ends up mowing down flower beds is not necessarily &#8220;intelligent,&#8221;
